Body Art ... Making a Mark One Drop at a Time

What's in a Tattoo?

Tattoos are a very personal form of creative self-expression. These images of individual interpretation mean many different things to many different people. Some of the artistic designs possess cultural significance, some are adorned as a decorative fashion accessory, others are worn as a special memorial tribute, and yet others represent an emblem of deep conviction. Since getting a tattoo is a matter of choice, regardless of how anyone else feels about body art, those who decide to indulge celebrate in the beauty of being exactly who they want to be...without apology!

The TEAM at Photography by Sean Ponder recently had the opportunity to spend the day with three local award-winning artists: Elisheba Israel, Joe Bostick and Michael Mucker. These skilled innovators have taken their love for art and "All Things Ink", to the human canvas, and on any given day, you can walk into their shop and find them busy at work illustrating beautiful and bold masterpieces that communicate the heart and soul of each of their clients. Their impressive work was definitely worthy of display, so here is just a glimpse of the stunning designs, daring rich color and eye-catching creativity we witnessed the day of the shoot:

If you've been thinking about getting inked for the very first time or you're an old pro looking to feed your addiction, check these three artists out at the One Drop Ink Tattoo Parlour and Gallery, 1106 Ed Temple Blvd, in Nashville, TN. They will take good care of you! Oh and mention you heard about them in our blog!
